Frosilos, 2008, C-Print

Julian Faulhaber born in Würzburg, Germany in 1975 is possibly one of the most inspirational photographers I have come across in many years — at least of photographers that aren’t portrait/lifestyle photographers. Faulhaber’s photographs are flawless and his command of lighting and mood are a force to be reckoned with. I first came across his work while visiting the Hasted Hunt Kraeutler Gallery (NYC) a few months ago where he is represented. He had a show running from the 6th of May to the 26th of June 2010 and I’m so glad I got to experience his work in person. I went to the reception for the artist, but I didn’t get to meet him, shucks. Below are a few of his images.

Man! the fourth image from the top, “Rezeption” is almost too much to look at. My eyes kept getting all crazy. I love this guys work.
