In the wake of all tragedies, of course an idiot has to rise from the pool of his own filth to say something ridiculous, ill-timed and inappropriate. Today, that idiot is Pat Robertson, a “televangelidiot”.

Pat says that while under French rule, Haitians “swore a pact the Devil” to serve him if he delivered them from the French.
He then goes on to say that “ever since, they have been cursed by one thing after another.”

According to www.politico.com, Robertson’s words refer to a piece of folklore pertaining to Toussaint L’Ouverture, the founder of the country.

Ugh, how dare he say something so outlandish and brash so soon after such tragedy. To assert a point that Haitians somehow had this coming  because of some “pact with the devil” is outright despicable and CBN should be ashamed of themselves for letting him broadcast this. How dare he.
